Hi Everyone, BLOKES PLAY BLUES does what it says on the tin. Formed in mid-2022. After many successful gigs over the last few years, we’ve now added new material and already have two gigs booked in 2026.
We are six blokes, playing blues with a jazz flavour. As we all know what we’re doing, it’s just about having fun. We’re all of a certain vintage, so there are no prima donnas in the band, just a bunch of Blokes Playing Blues.
The lineup
- KEVIN BLOKE who plays Sax, Guitar, Harmonica and sings a bit.
- TIM BLOKE who plays lead and rhythm guitar on Big Red, or the Black Beast.
- JOHN BLOKE holding us all together, its all about the bass! Hailing from the North West, now playing the blues here in North Dorset.
- COLIN BLOKE our drummer keeping the beat, sets the groove, keeps us all in line and makes us swing!
- DAVE BLOKE aka ‘Dave the Guitar’, soloist or vocalist, just loves to play the blues.
- DAVID BLOKE Steering the band from centre stage, David has taken on the mantle of lead singer and all round good Bloke.
